Copywriting – the thrilling sensation of writing awesome content

Hey guys, thanks for stopping by.

In today’s post, I want to talk about a new skill. A skill that I’ve wanted to learn more about for years but never come around to – copywriting. If you’re new here you don’t know that I’m in school studying multimedia design. Every day I’m working towards a career in design and the ultimate goal of becoming a digital nomad.

I have to admit that I love designing, but I’ve refound my love of writing. I mean, I’ve been writing posts on here for years and I’ve always known that I like writing. So, now I’ve decided that I want to broaden my horizon and learn more about copywriting.

Copywriting – what is it?

I’m not native English and if you’re like me, you read “copywriting” and thought of the word “Copyright”. Even though they sound the same, they’re not – they’re two very different things. Copywriting is the process of writing persuasive marketing and promotional materials. The goal is to motivate people to take some form of action to increase conversions.

Copywriting is important because how you frame your words have a great impact on people. It can be the key difference between your customers saying ‘yes’ or ‘no’. If you want to run a successful business today, copywriting is key. This is very much important. Especially, if you don’t have a physical shop to grab people’s attention.

Providing written content for future clients

If you’re new here, you don’t know that I’ve created my own company called Clickidy. It’s a freelance company that will help me chase down the dream of becoming a digital nomad.

You can find my portfolio at

Working with web- and graphic design I usually create product designs. What if I’d also write the content that goes onto that webpage, that leaflet, or e-mail you sent to your customers?

I’ve done graphic design work for clients before where I did the written content as well. But I have to be honest that I didn’t feel confident writing the titles and body text for it. As I mentioned in the intro, I’m not native English. I don’t know all the power or action words you can use – but I can learn them.

Creating a brighter future and chasing a dream

Being able to offer this to clients – with Clickidy or somewhere else – will definitely increase my value. This is why I’m taking these copywriting courses outside of school hours.

I’ve been very conflicted if I wanted a student job or focus on improving as much as possible. I have six months left of this education. I’ve decided that I’m going full speed towards my goal trying to create a brighter future for myself.

Sometimes you’ve got to focus on yourself and what you want and that’s what I’ve done during these two years. I hope that it’ll increase my career opportunities afterward.

A conclusive wrap-up

I’m going to use this platform to practice my writing skills. I’ve found some tools that give you topics to write about and I’m going to create another tag on here for this topic.

If you’re a copywriter or working with creating content like this, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to leave a comment with feedback, tips, tricks, and other questions.

Thanks again for stopping by.

Take care,
Rasmus Bak

  1. As someone who’s sold words for a living in some form or another, I can say that there really is no substitute to writing as a job. Wishing you all the best with your journey, and your digital nomad goals.

Weirdly enough, the pandemic has turned most jobs into digital nomadism, though maybe they don’t involve international travel. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

Exactly. I feel like more and more people open their eyes towards working from home and having that freedom – and I love it!

Take care, and thanks for stopping by again!

      1. I appreciate it – I’ve lived in Ireland and UK for a couple of years, so I’ve spoken a lot of English in my time ๐Ÿ˜‰

        Where are you from?
