Hi Guys,

Thanks for checking in!

Today is a special day. Today, 5 years ago, it all started. Today, 5 years ago, I moved abroad for good for the first time in my life. 5 years ago, today, I said goodbye Denmark and hello Portugal!

5 years ago I moved to Lisbon, Portugal and what an adventure!

Santa Apolónia

Rua Diogo de Couto. What’s that you think? That’s the road where my apartment was. I still remember the area and sometimes I even imagine that I still walk into town via the waterside. I loved the area. Not too far from Praca do Comércio. The main square of downtown Lisbon. Lovely area with loads of people, restaurants and shops.

I shared the apartment with 4 others. 3 Italians and 1 German guy. Sometimes it was a test to live with so many other people but the apartment was massive and my room was massive as well – with a giant balcony.

Just to show you the view I had from my balcony – look below!Skærmbillede 2018-11-17 kl. 09.15.50.pngSkærmbillede 2018-11-17 kl. 09.16.05.png

A Vibrant City…

I knew absolutely nothing about before moving there.

But, to be honest, I didn’t know anything about Dublin or Ireland before I moved there either. It’s part of the experience and the amazing adventure of discovering the unknown. Some people travel to a destination for a weekend or a holiday – I just move. It’s amazing to be able to do that and I love my lifestyle as all I want is to discover and explore.

Wine & Dine

How cool did I look in Lisbon? Well, not as cool as this amazing background from one of the viewpoints located all over the city. Skærmbillede 2018-11-17 kl. 09.11.45.png

We would go to this spot at night. Bring some snacks and wine and just sit on the rooftops. To this day, it still is the most relaxing and amazing time I’d ever had. Just being with friends in a nice environment with good snacks and wine – what’s not to love!

Wrap Up

Any who, this was meant to be some sort of tribute to my first time moving abroad. It’s a really important time as it really triggered something in me and made me who I am today. I’m the guy who’s moving abroad. I’m the guy travelling and exploring while others aren’t.

Soon, hopefully, I’ll be moving back to Dublin and start yet another adventure. This time, probably a bit longer than a year.

Guys if you have any questions regarding Dublin or Lisbon, feel free to ask me in the comment section below!

All I have left to say – JUST DO IT!

Take care,

Junior out.
