My New Travel Bucket List

Hey guys,

Thanks for checking in.

So, as you know, I’m like many others who dream of travelling the World. When you have a dream of travelling the world, you’re most likely to have a travel bucket list as well. A list of places and/or countries you want to visit. A list of experiences that you will remember forever.

Change of Plans

For as long as I can remember my ultimate bucket list goal has been to visit every single state of America. In August, I will be going to America with my family again to visit New York, Florida and Washington.

After this holiday, I can pin (on my world map) “only” 6 states – California, Arizona, Nevada, New York, Florida and Washington.

I have a long way to go. I’ve been dreaming of renting a car for three months and just roadtrip around the States. It still is a dream, but… Over the last couple of months I’ve really noticed a changed mindset when it comes to the states. Don’t get me wrong, I love the States, the people, the diversity from state to state etc. but I’ve just figured that there’s so much more to see other than America.

I don’t know if it has something to do with the changes that has happened during the last year (I think you know what I’m talking about). Also, we’ve seen an increased amount of videos showing a more negative America. I KNOW it’s only a small part of America, but it has changed my mentality.

A New Plan

Therefore, I’ve kinda “retired” my old bucket list for a while and made a new one.

A new list with 10 destinations I want to focus on for the years to come. I still have loads of countries in Europe I haven’t visited yet – and also, I’ve never been to Asia or South America.

Since I bought the Lonely Planet’s Ultimate Travelist from Lonely Planet I’ve been creating this post to see what my new plan would look like. I’ve narrowed it down to 15 countries/cities that I want to focus on.

Lonely Planet does the work for you, as they list the 500 best places on the planet… ranked. So it has been super easy to find inspiration in this amazing book.

Here is my list – with pictures and everything for your to enjoy:

Doesn’t that just look absolutely amazing?!

So, these are the countries I’m going to focus on from now on. Dreaming of visiting as many countries is one thing. Visiting as many countries as possible is at a whole other level.

Ultimately, I also want to go back and drive around Ireland. I’ve regretted since leaving the country that I didn’t do it while I was there. I only visited some stuff outside of Dublin, which is really bad as the country itself is beautiful. It would have been a lot easier, if I did it while I was there, right?

Wrap Up

So, it’s time to chase a “new” bucket list and a new dream. And I’m already dreaming my ass off.

What do you guys think? Which countries or cities are on your bucket list?

Let me know down below!

Take care,

Junior out.

My name is Rasmus, I'm a Danish guy who wants to share every thought, dream and struggle about my life.

Via trips abroad as an expat to London, Lisbon and must recently Dublin I've gained some experiences that I would like to share.

I play the guitar, sing, love to travel, spent time with my friends and family and I'm a big Manchester United fan.
