Thanks for checking in!
I’m going to start of this post with a quote that I absolutely love.
“Use Your Smile To Change The World, Don’t Let The World Change Your Smile”
I’ve always been told that I smile and laugh a lot. Maybe too much. Without sounding selfish I’ve also been told that I always tend to bring good mood into almost any given situation – of course not possible all the time, but I sure do love to laugh and smile.
I read this post by another blogger called Lebana from Lebana’s Journal. She wrote a post called Why do you Smile? and it inspired me to write this myself. So thank you Lebana, if you’re reading this.
Always Look On The Bright Side of Life
When I was younger, I think I had a hard time seeing life as positive as I do right now. Back then it didn’t take a whole lot to make my mood change. Don’t get me wrong, I can still get mad, sad, and everything in between but not as much anymore – especially when it comes to sports! Hah.
I remember how even the smallest things could mess with me and my mood. And how I used to always keep things to myself as they started building up inside of me.
I’m not sure what has changed. I think it must have something to do with me travelling, meeting new people and exploring new cultures. The fact that I did those things by myself must have changed a thing or two mentally. Having to take care of myself during tough situations made me tougher and I regret absolutely nothing.
There’s Always A Reason To Smile
I once read a quote:
“A Smile Is a Curve That Sets Everything Straight”
This quote is crazy important. Nothing is as universal as a smile. A smile can be anything. It can be a reflection of your mood, current state of mind or simply seeing someone pretty on the street 😉
Even when life sucks, you can always find a reason to smile. Maybe not right away, but at some point you will look back at a certain situation and realize that that situation changed something within yourself – if that’s not a reason to smile, then what is?!
Change of Mentality
With all the shit that’s going on in the world – change your mentality. I could probably write a 1000 words worth of names. Names of people I would love to change their mentality and make them look at our world in a different way.
I’m not going to though. I’m just going write this here and hopefully this will help someone realize that a change of mentality is what’s needed.
It doesn’t take much. As mentioned, if you would love to change your mentality from negative to positive I would recommend solo travelling any day! Or any type of travelling. Meeting new people, cultures, and facing these “challenges” by yourself will change your mentality, I’m sure about it.
If you’d like to read more about solo travelling, I wrote a post about this. What it gave me and why I would recommend it to anybody!

Also, feel free to read about my 5 things to know before solo travelling. Read and get inspired!
This is a subject I love talking about. I don’t have any fancy education or degree when it comes to the phycology behind all of this. I have something better – real life experience.
So try it out. Because a picture says more than a 1000 words:
What do you guys think about the subject? Have you tried anything like this?
Thank you guys for reading.
