Long time no see.
I’ve been really busy lately with work and some other stuff and haven’t been able to find the time, but now I’m here 🙂
Today I want to talk a little bit about another reason for me to go abroad – or for anyone to go abroad for that matter. It’s the opportunity of a new beginning.
I’ve earlier posted stuff about the opportunity to meet new people, explore new places and in general to try something new. But what if you had the chance to start all over? What if you could go somewhere, press that imaginary reset botton and be whoever you wanted to be?
I think we all have one or several things in our lives that we would like to change. It could be minor things or it could be major things like breaking habbits/routines. If you walk around in the same enviroment you’ve been walking around in for the last many years, in the same job, with the same friends etc. and you really just need something new to happen. I’m not saying you have to give up on your friends and family – it is possible to stay in touch thanks to the modern day technology. What I’m trying to say is that many people walk around with the dream of change, but for some reason, they’re scared of leaving the safety-net they call home.

The feeling of having a new beginning, new environment, new people around you, new friends, new colleagues and new opportunities is the most amazing feeling in the world. I cannot begin to describe how much I would recommend taking that jump. Taking that risk is the best thing I’ve ever done and if you’re reading this – thinking that “hmm, I might actually want that, but what about my job, my apartment, my friends and my family” – don’t think, you just got to do it. If there is the slightest bit of motivation in you saying that you should go – go! If you don’t like it – then at least 10 years from now you can say that you tried and you will not sit with the feeling of regret.
Just go for it.
